Pop Up Restaurants

HEYA BAR

A collection of hidden bars in the depths of Fortitude Valley, Heya is anything and everything you want it to be. Boasting killer live music, stand-up comedy, delish pan-Asian street food and enough pool and pinball to satisfy the big kid in all of us, you're bound for an epic night when you visit Heya. At Laneway, you can expect to see Heya signature dishes; CheeseBurger Spring Rolls and Chicken Karaage. Oiishi!

POPOLO ITALIAN KITCHEN

Nestled in Brisbane’s iconic River Quay, Popolo Italian Bar & Kitchen boasts South Bank’s most authentic Italian feasting experience on the banks of the sparkling Brisbane River. Popolo returns to Laneway in 2018 serving up more quality wood-fired pizzas.

ABBIOCCO

The Italian word for the drowsy feeling following a satisfying meal. The Abbiocco Food Truck serves up Italian sandwiches with slow cooked meats, as well as an array of tasty balls. Their bacon & mozzarella arancini, beef & bacon meatballs and cheesy fried canederli are sure to leave you feeling satisfied. Abbiocco are passionate about providing quality food made from scratch with local ingredients, at a good price for everyone to enjoy. Come experience the Abbiocco hospitality.

BRAT HAUS

With two established stores in Brisbane, Brat Haus has recently hit the road with a striking kitchen on wheels. The Bratmobile, as it is lovingly known, serves up the usual fare of Australia’s biggest and best German Sausages – The Spicy Knackwurst, The Grilled Bratwurst, The Cheese Kranski, The Smoked Bratwurst, The Firewurst, The Chickenwurst and the Veganwurst – all served on freshly baked bread rolls with onion and sauerkraut and your choice of sauces. They also provide freshly baked pretzels that are in a league of their own.

CATCH AND KISS

Catch and Kiss Seafood serve a range of ocean fresh dishes from Brisbane’s most iconic food truck ‘Claudette’. This isn’t your usual fish and chip shop fare. You can treat yourself to hand cut, tender calamari, salt and pepper prawns and fresh Aussie fish. Their seafood is served with sweet potato fries or classic crunchy beer battered chips AKA ‘The Best Chips in the Universe’.

If you’re looking for some food for the soul, go no further. Govindas prides itself on affordable, tasty vegetarian dishes that will leave your stomach and mind satisfied. Choose from a variety of pure vegetarian food, including dhal, potato bake, lasagna, samosas, pakoras, and everyone’s festival favourites; kofta balls.

Finally a food truck dedicated to Mac n’ Cheese. Say hello to Brisbane’s first Mac n’ Cheese food truck; Mac From Way Back. Bringing fresh home-made comfort food to the streets, (and festivals) of Brisbane. Think crispy brisket burgers, chorizo loaded fries and Mac bowls, all served with Mac’s signature seven cheese Mac n’ Cheese.

Istanbul Eats are serious food folk on a mission. Travelling the coast of sunny Queensland with their big red van to share their love and passion for Turkish artisan street food. Whether you’re the worse vegetarian on earth or a complete vego altogether, there’s an Istanbul Eats dish for you! To match the vibrant team is Istanbul Eats’ big red lady herself. Drenched in bright neons and colourful street art – this food truck is hard to miss. With grills on fire, she'll whip you up the best festival kebab of all time.

FUEL BY SALTS MEATS CHEESE

Laneway just got fuelled! Fuelled with delicious Pizza Fritta (Fried Pizza) and Arancini served up by the Salt Meats Cheese food truck, Fuel. If you’re not yet familiar with SMC – here’s the lowdown: SMC is a family-owned Italian restaurant and gourmet Italian group hailing from Sydney. They’re all about using quality ingredients to re-creating classic Italian dishes with a modern Australian twist. Can’t wait until Laneway to get the SMC goods? Check out their soon-to-be opened Newstead restaurant.

MOOFREE BURGERS

Hailing from the Charlie’s Fruit Market & Charlie’s Raw Squeeze family, MooFree Burgers was born from Charlie’s owners and brothers Michael and Johnny Tabet’s fresh, plant-based philosophy. Better for health, the environment and the animals, the brothers set to work dreaming up a big, fat, juicy plant-based cheeseburger that rivals it’s meat based alternatives. MooFree Burgers are made from local ingredients and most importantly are animal cruelty free.
